After being stranded in Sajek for nearly four days due to a blockade, approximately 1,300 tourists were finally able to depart safely on Tuesday, September 24.
The blockade, imposed by protesting Jumma students, had prevented the tourists from leaving the popular hill resort. However, with the assistance of security forces, the stranded individuals were able to safely make their way out of Sajek and continue their journey.
According to local authorities, the tourists began their departure around 7 AM on Tuesday. By 9 AM, all vehicles carrying the stranded individuals had successfully passed through the Baghaihat Bazar area.
The resolution of the tourist crisis has brought significant relief to both the affected tourists and local authorities. The incident serves as a reminder of the challenges that can arise in even the most popular tourist destinations.
