Awami League is currently facing a challenging situation, acknowledged the party’s Joint General Secretary, Mahbubul Alam Hanif. He assured that the party will recover and take part in the upcoming national elections.
This statement, shared by his press secretary, Tariq Ul Islam Tutul, through a WhatsApp group on Thursday evening, emphasized that the party has bounced back from setbacks before, including the 1975 tragedy, and will do so again.
Hanif criticized the recent comments by Badiul Alam Majumder, who suggested the next election could be acceptable without the Awami League.
He condemned what he described as efforts to sideline the party, asserting that no elections in Bangladesh have ever been held without Awami League, and there is no possibility of it happening in the future.
