If a fair election is held, BNP will win more than 250 seats

BNP leader Rumeen Farhana has expressed confidence that if a fair election is held, the BNP will secure over 250 seats and form the next government.

She shared this optimism while speaking as the chief guest at a public rally organized by the local BNP in Barikandi, Nabinagar, Brahmanbaria, on Friday afternoon (September 27).

Rumeen Farhana highlighted the enthusiasm of the Bangladeshi people for voting, saying, “The people of Bangladesh are passionate about voting. Even those who are 90 or 100 years old ride on their grandsons’ shoulders to cast their ballots.”

She pointed out that, for the past 20 years, people have been deprived of their voting rights, eagerly awaiting the chance to vote again. “Let the people choose their preferred representatives,” she urged.

The BNP leader also stressed the need for reforms in the constitution, the judiciary, and the Election Commission. “We believe in the necessity of these reforms, but they are most just when carried out by elected representatives. Therefore, I call for the swift restoration of the people’s voting rights within a reasonable timeframe.”

Earlier in the day, a discussion and prayer session were held in Brahmanbaria to honor the martyrs of the anti-discrimination student movement and to pray for the recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia.

The event was presided over by BNP leader Kazi Nazmul Hossain Taposh and attended by local BNP leaders, including former Brahmanbaria BNP president Hafizur Rahman Molla and former general secretary Zahirul Haque Khokon.
