A representative for Meta Platforms stated on Tuesday that the company will not be joining the AI Pact of the European Union right now.
The pact serves as a temporary measure until the EU’s AI Act is fully implemented.
The act, which established the first-ever guidelines for the creation and application of artificial intelligence, was approved by EU parliamentarians in May.
