Three people have died from dengue, and 801 more have been hospitalised with the mosquito-borne illness in the past 24 hours across the country.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) reported that 197 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka by Tuesday morning.
Elsewhere, 55 patients were hospitalised in Barishal Division, 126 in Chattogram, 279 in Dhaka Division, 61 in Khulna, 27 in Mymensingh, 37 in Rajshahi, 17 in Rangpur, and two in Sylhet.
This brings the total number of dengue hospitalisations this year to 25,701, with 136 fatalities.
Since DGHS began recording dengue data in 2000, a record 321,179 hospitalisations occurred in 2023, with 1,705 deaths, the highest ever recorded.
